Drake Milligan

Born on June 1, 1998, in Arlington, Texas, Drake Milligan was influenced by country music from a young age, particularly by Merle Haggard. An encounter with an Elvis impersonator sparked his interest in performing, leading him to refine his stage presence and vocal style. His initial foray into the entertainment industry saw him portraying a young Elvis Presley in the CMT series “Sun Records” (2017) and the film “Nobody.” This early experience provided him with a foundational understanding of performance and the music industry. Following his role as Elvis, Milligan aimed to establish his own identity within country music. He participated in “American Idol” in 2018 but withdrew, opting to move to Nashville to concentrate on his original music. This strategic decision allowed him to develop his artistry more authentically and lay the groundwork for his career as a country singer.

Milligan’s dedication to his craft led to a recording contract with BBR Music Group. In July 2021, he released his self-titled debut extended play, produced by Tony Brown. A significant turning point in his career occurred when he appeared on “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) in June 2022. His performance of the original song “Sounds Like Something I’d Do” garnered widespread attention, culminating in a third-place finish in September 2022. This exposure propelled his music, with “Sounds Like Something I’d Do” reaching the top of the iTunes country chart. His debut album, “Dallas/Fort Worth,” was released on September 15, 2022, marking a major milestone. He made his Grand Ole Opry debut in October 2022, further solidifying his position in the country music scene.

Since his AGT appearance, Milligan has maintained an active touring schedule, headlining shows across the U.S., Europe, and the U.K. as part of his “Jukebox World Tour.” He has also opened for notable country artists such as Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton. In 2023, he collaborated with The Reklaws on the single “Honky Tonkin’ About,” which became his first number one hit on the Canadian country chart. He released another EP, “Jukebox Songs,” in February 2024 and announced his second studio album, “Tumbleweed,” for release in November 2025. Milligan’s journey reflects a consistent effort to build a reputable career in country music through notable performances, significant releases, and strategic collaborations.
