Emma Heesters was born on January 8, 1996, in ‘s-Gravenpolder, Netherlands. Her musical journey began at a young age, with vocal and dance lessons, including ballet. At eight years old, in 2004, she won the provincial preselection of the Kinderen voor Kinderen Songfestival, making her television debut on NPO Zapp where she performed “100 kleine feestjes.” During her teenage years, she performed with various cover bands until she completed her education in 2013, graduating from the Dalton Plan school Roncalli with a havo certificate, specializing in economy and society.
Heesters commenced her professional music career in 2014, making a significant impact with her YouTube channel where she covers popular songs. This platform has grown substantially, reaching over 5.77 million subscribers by August 2022. Her career progressed with notable achievements in 2019, including becoming the first Dutch winner of MTV’s Push Award. That same year, she achieved Platinum status for her single “Pa Olvidarte” in collaboration with Rolf Sanchez. Her visibility expanded through features in a song by Boyce Avenue, participation in their European tour, and appearances on Dutch television programs such as “Beste Zangers,” the web series “Jachtseason” of StukTV, and the game show “I Can See Your Voice.”
