EPEX is a South Korean boy band known for their impactful music and performances, currently setting a new precedent for K-pop’s international reach with their groundbreaking concert tours. After member Keum secured a Top 20 ranking on Mnet’s ‘Produce X 101’ in 2019, EPEX officially debuted on June 8, 2021, with their first extended play (EP) ‘Bipolar Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety’ and its lead single ‘Lock Down’. The eight-member South Korean boy band, formed by C9 Entertainment and consisting of Wish, Keum, Mu, A-Min, Baekseung, Ayden, Yewang, and Jeff, quickly established themselves with sharp choreography and soaring vocals, addressing themes relevant to youth, including mental health. Their impactful debut earned them the prestigious Rookie Award – Male Group at the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards and the Rookie of the Year title at the 2022 Seoul Music Awards, solidifying their status as a rising force in K-pop.
