Chinedu Okoli, known professionally as Flavour N’abania, is a celebrated Nigerian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who has made significant contributions to the African music scene. Flavour began his musical journey at the age of 13, playing drums for his local church choir in Enugu State. His early exposure to music led him to study music formally, and by 1999, he transitioned from drumming to playing the keyboard and providing backing vocals for various artists at SoundCity Communications.
In 2005, Flavour released his debut album, “N’abania,” which marked his entry into the music industry. Although the album initially found success in Eastern Nigeria, it laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. His second studio album, “Uplifted,” released in 2010, catapulted him to national fame with hit singles like “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)” and “Adamma.” The album’s widespread acclaim established Flavour as one of Africa’s most sought-after artists, leading to numerous performance bookings across the continent.
Flavour’s third album, “Blessed,” released in 2012, further solidified his status in the industry. The album featured collaborations with notable artists and was celebrated for its production quality. His subsequent albums, including “Thankful” in 2014 and “Ijele – The Traveller” in 2017, showcased his growth as an artist and his ability to blend traditional African sounds with contemporary music.
In 2020, Flavour released his seventh studio album, “Flavour of Africa,” which continued to highlight his unique sound and cultural heritage. Known for his fluency in the Igbo language, Flavour’s music resonates with audiences both locally and internationally, making him a prominent figure in the African music landscape.
