Flor, an American indie pop band formed in 2014 in Hood River, Oregon, has made significant strides in the music industry since their inception. The band, originally known as Sunderland, consists of Zach Grace (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dylan Bauld (bass), and Kyle Hill (drums). Their journey began in high school, where Grace, Bauld, and McKinley Kitts united to create music, later expanding their lineup by recruiting Hill through Craigslist. This collaborative spirit laid the foundation for their distinctive sound and artistic vision.

In 2014, Flor released their debut single “heart,” followed by the Sounds EP in October of the same year. Their full-length album, Sights & Sounds, debuted in 2015, showcasing their evolving musical style. The band gained further recognition by touring with Halsey in 2015 and signing with Fueled by Ramen in 2016, which reissued their Sounds EP, amplifying their reach within the indie pop scene.

Flor’s debut album, “come out. you’re hiding,” released in May 2017, marked a pivotal moment in their career, featuring the lead single “guarded.” The band continued to innovate with their second studio album, “ley lines,” in 2019, which explored themes of personal connection and purpose. Their commitment to creativity was evident in the 2020 EP “reimagined,” which offered fresh takes on their earlier hits.

In 2022, Flor released their third studio album, “Future Shine,” and embarked on a whirlwind tour, performing in major cities within just twenty-four hours. Their recent singles, including “Same Color as the Sun” and “Warm Blood Pt 2,” reflect their ongoing evolution as artists. With a strong foundation and a commitment to their craft, Flor continues to captivate audiences and solidify their place in the indie pop landscape.
