Gary Levox

Gary LeVox, born Gary Wayne Vernon Jr. on July 10, 1970, in Powell, Ohio, began his musical journey at an early age with his first performance in a church play at eight years old. After graduating from Olentangy High School and attending Ohio State University, LeVox moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1997. It was there that he, along with his second cousin Jay DeMarcus, and later Joe Don Rooney, formed the country band Rascal Flatts in 2000. Under his stage name, borrowed from a studio-console label, LeVox became known as the lead vocalist, contributing to the band’s distinctive sound blending country tradition with pop and arena rock elements. They quickly signed with Lyric Street and subsequently Big Machine Records.

Over two decades, Rascal Flatts achieved significant success, releasing numerous albums including “Rascal Flatts” (2000), “Melt” (2002), “Feels Like Today” (2004), “Me and My Gang” (2006), “Still Feels Good” (2007), “Unstoppable” (2009), “Nothing Like This” (2010), “Changed” (2012), “Rewind” (2014), and “Back to Us” (2017). The band accumulated 31 top 10 hits on Billboard’s country airplay chart, with 14 reaching No. 1. Their popular singles included “I Like The Sound of That,” “Bless The Broken Road,” “Fast Cars and Freedom,” and their rendition of “Life Is A Highway.” The group sold an estimated 23 million albums during their career, establishing themselves as a prominent act in country music. In 2024, the band reunited for their 25th anniversary ‘Life Is a Highway’ Tour and released the album “Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets” in 2025.

Following the initial disbandment of Rascal Flatts in 2021, LeVox pursued a solo career, releasing his first solo EP, “One on One,” in May 2021. This was followed by the single “Get Down Like That” in 2022, released on Big Machine Records. Beyond his music career, LeVox has also engaged in entrepreneurial ventures, notably partnering with Black Tie Moving company to open new branches. He has collaborated with various artists and has been involved in charitable events, such as headlining the “Down On the Range” concert at the 2025 Drive Fore Kids Celebrity Golf Invitational.
