Glen Templeton burst onto the country music scene with his debut single, ‘I Could Be the One,’ released on April 19, 2011. The track, co-written by Jay Knowles and Thom McHugh and previously recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus, quickly made its mark, charting at number 58 and peaking at number 53 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart by July 2011. Building on this immediate success, Templeton signed a record deal with Black River Entertainment that same month.

Concurrent with his single, he unveiled a self-titled extended play (EP) on June 6, 2011, featuring ‘I Could Be the One’ and three additional tracks, which cemented his reputation for a distinct traditional country sound and compelling vocal performances. Following this breakthrough, Templeton continued to expand his discography with two additional singles. ‘Sing That Song Again’ further showcased his vocal prowess and achieved chart success, reaching number 60 on the Hot Country Songs chart. His single ‘Ball Cap,’ a collaboration co-written with Cassidy Lynn Alexander, Forest Whitehead, and Dylan Scott, garnered significant industry attention, earning rotation on SiriusXM Satellite Radio and reaching a broad national audience.

He subsequently released the extended play ‘Let Her Go’ on July 29, 2014, continuing to deliver his signature country style before mutually parting ways with Black River Entertainment in early 2015. Demonstrating his sustained commitment to his artistry and independent vision, Templeton delivered his acclaimed extended play ‘California’ on January 18, 2019. This release reaffirmed his standing as a distinctive voice in traditional country music, resonating with a dedicated fanbase and further cementing his reputation for authentic songwriting and powerful vocal performances. Through his consistent output, Glen Templeton has maintained a prominent presence in the country music landscape, highlighted by his chart-placing singles and independently successful EPs across digital platforms.
