Jack Beats

Jack Beats originated in London in 2007, founded by DJ Plus One (Niall Dailly) and Beni G (Ben Geffin). Both co-founders were recognized multiple DJ champions, bringing a foundation of technical skill and experience to the project. The duo established a distinct sound characterized by wobbly basslines, significant breakdowns, and meticulously cut, copied, and pasted a cappella samples. Their early work quickly gained traction, championed by notable figures in the electro scene including British disc jockeys Kissy Sell Out and Hervé.

Throughout their career, Jack Beats maintained an active touring schedule, performing at major international music festivals such as Coachella, Fuji Rock Festival, Glastonbury, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), and Sónar. Their discography expanded across various influential electronic music labels, including Owsla, Rinse, Night Bass, and Columbia Records, demonstrating their versatility and appeal within the genre. The project’s releases include numerous Extended Plays (EPs) and singles, alongside compilations, promotional tracks, mixtapes, and an extensive list of remixes for artists such as Example, Beyoncé, Major Lazer, and Skrillex.

From approximately 2015, the project’s live performances transitioned to primarily feature Ben Geffin, with Niall Dailly no longer consistently appearing as part of the live duo. Geffin frequently collaborated with other artists on stage during this period, such as AC Slater. Despite this shift in live personnel, Jack Beats continued to release new music, often featuring collaborations, and maintained a presence in the electronic music landscape. The project has consistently delivered material that aligns with their established sound while also exploring new directions within house, electro house, dubstep, and deep house genres.
