Jon Knight

Jonathan Rashleigh Knight, born in Massachusetts in 1968, grew up in Dorchester with his five siblings and numerous foster children. His musical career began in the late 1980s when he rose to national fame as a member of the boy band New Kids On The Block. The group, which included his younger brother Jordan Knight, sold millions of albums and played to sold-out concerts worldwide. However, due to struggles with anxiety and panic, he decided to leave the group in 1994 during the tour for their album “Face The Music.” Following his departure from the music industry, Knight retired to his Massachusetts farm, where he pursued horse farming and ventured into real estate.

After a hiatus from the limelight, Jonathan Knight returned to public life in the spring of 2008 when New Kids on the Block reunited. The group released their comeback album, “The Block,” which achieved commercial success. In more recent years, Knight has established a new career in television as the host of the HGTV show “Farmhouse Fixer.” This program highlights his expertise in restoring old New England farmhouses, turning them into modern homes while preserving their original character. The show has garnered a significant viewership, exceeding 15 million viewers across its first two seasons, demonstrating his ability to connect with audiences in a new capacity.

Knight’s career progression reflects a journey from music idol to entrepreneur and television personality.
