Karyn White’s self-titled debut album, released in 1988, marked a significant milestone, achieving platinum status in the U.S. and solidifying her position as a formidable artist. Produced by the acclaimed L.A. Reid and Babyface, the album spawned international hit singles including ‘The Way You Love Me,’ ‘Secret Rendezvous,’ and the iconic ‘Superwoman.’ Her duet with Babyface, ‘Love Saw It,’ reached number one on the R&B charts, contributing to White making history as the first female artist to have her first three solo releases from a debut album top the R&B charts.
