Kosheen achieved significant chart success and platinum sales with their debut album, ‘Resist,’ released in 2001. This seminal electronic music album reached number eight on the UK album chart and featured the international hit single ‘Hide U.’ Comprised of singer-songwriter Sian Evans, songwriter-producer Ron Mcelroy, and drummer Mitchell Glover, the group followed their initial breakthrough with other notable singles like ‘Catch’ and ‘Hungry,’ establishing a strong presence on both UK and European music charts early in their career. Building on the momentum of their debut, Kosheen released their second album, ‘Kokopelli,’ in 2003, which ascended to number seven on the UK album chart. This album showcased an evolution in their sound, incorporating more guitar riffs and a darker lyrical tone, and included the hit single ‘All In My Head,’ which also reached number seven.

In 2023, the band celebrated a quarter-century of Kosheen’s music with a worldwide anniversary tour, performing a curated selection of tracks from their expansive catalog. A highlight of this commemorative tour included a significant and critically acclaimed performance with a full orchestra at London’s iconic Koko venue, further demonstrating their versatility and artistic depth. As the lead vocalist, Sian Evans continues to lead the group, engaging with dedicated audiences across various international countries. Recent appearances include major cultural events such as the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, underscoring Kosheen’s enduring appeal and consistent presence on the global electronic music scene.
