Kwon Eunbi

Kwon Eun-bi, born on September 27, 1995, in Geumcheon District, Seoul, began her journey in the entertainment industry at an early age. Despite initial parental reservations about her pursuing a singing career, she was determined, ultimately persuading them to allow her to attend dance academy and later the School of Performing Arts Seoul. Prior to her official debut, Kwon Eun-bi gained experience as a backup dancer for established girl groups like Secret and Girl’s Day when she was 17. She also worked part-time at a Paris Baguette store during this period, demonstrating her early dedication to her aspirations.

Her professional career commenced in July 2014 as ‘Kazoo’, a member of the eight-member girl group Ye-A, under Kiroy Company. The group released one single, “National Treasure,” before becoming inactive due to agency financial issues. After leaving Ye-A, Kwon Eun-bi auditioned for and signed with Woollim Entertainment. A significant turning point came in 2018 when she participated in Mnet’s reality competition series Produce 48. She consistently ranked high throughout the competition, securing 7th place in the finale, which led to her debut as the leader of the South Korean–Japanese girl group Iz*One on October 29, 2018, with the single “La Vie en Rose.”

Following Iz*One’s disbandment in April 2021, Kwon Eun-bi launched her solo career. She released her first mini-album, “Open,” on August 24, 2021, marking her official solo debut, after which she received nominations for Rookie of the Year at major award ceremonies. Her career has since expanded to include songwriting, acting, and hosting various television and radio programs. Notably, her performance at Waterbomb Seoul 2023 earned her the titles “Waterbomb Goddess” and the new “Summer Queen,” reigniting interest in her single “Underwater,” which re-entered Korean music charts.
