Jessie Reyez launched her impactful career in 2016 with the release of her breakthrough single ‘Figures,’ which quickly garnered significant attention, premiering on Zane Lowe and climbing to number 58 on the Canadian Hot 100, ultimately achieving triple platinum certification by Music Canada. This success paved the way for her debut EP, ‘Kiddo,’ released in April 2017, which was subsequently placed on the Long List for the 2017 Polaris Music Prize. During this period, Reyez embarked on a European tour as the opening act for PartyNextDoor in early 2017 and released the accompanying short film ‘Gatekeeper’ in April 2017.
