Lakeyah, a Milwaukee-born rapper, singer, and television personality, gained recognition after signing with Quality Control Music, leading to collaborations with established artists and inclusion in the XXL Freshman Class. After accumulating over one million views on YouTube as part of the music duo ‘BTM’ (Beyond the Music) in 2017, Lakeyah gained significant attention through viral freestyles and online challenges, including a notable freestyle over ‘We Paid’ by 42 Dugg and Lil Baby. These impactful digital presences led to her signing with Quality Control Music in 2020. Her debut single, ‘Big FlexHer,’ featuring 42 Dugg, was released on October 9, 2020, quickly garnering over 400,000 views within five days and ultimately exceeding six million views.

This success was followed by her debut album, ‘Time’s Up,’ released on December 11, 2020, which included the standout track ‘Female Goat’ featuring City Girls, amassing over 25 million views on YouTube. In 2021, Lakeyah continued her career trajectory with the release of her second project, ‘In Due Time,’ which featured collaborations with acclaimed artists Gucci Mane and Yung Bleu. This project earned her the 4th position on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 charts, solidifying her rising status in the industry. A pivotal moment in her career occurred on June 16, 2021, when she was named to the prestigious XXL Freshman Class.

Most recently, Lakeyah released the single ‘F.Y.T.’ featuring Jacquees on November 18, 2024, a track that later appeared on her mixtape ‘Keymix lll.’ This latest release underscores her consistent output and ongoing collaborations with prominent artists, maintaining her presence across both music and media platforms.
