Liam Finn

Liam Finn is a New Zealand singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter known for his solo work and contributions to Crowded House. After co-founding the alt-rock band Betchadupa in 1997, Liam Finn quickly established his multifaceted talent as a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. Prior to the band’s formation, Finn contributed guitar and drums to his father Neil Finn’s solo debut album, Try Whistling This, released in 1998. Betchadupa went on to release its self-titled debut EP on Flying Nun in 2000, followed by the 3D EP in 2001.

He expanded his collaborative work in 2009 with the release of Champagne in Seashells, alongside Eliza Jane Barnes, and also became a member of the band BARB, which released its self-titled album in 2010. His solo discography continued to grow with FOMO in 2011 and The Nihilist in 2014. In 2018, Finn collaborated with his father, Neil Finn, on the acclaimed album Lightsleeper. A significant career move in 2020 saw Finn officially join Crowded House as a core member and co-writer, alongside his brother Elroy Finn.

Finn’s current projects include continued touring and songwriting with Crowded House, with his upcoming solo album, Hyperverse, slated for release in 2025.
