She developed her songwriting skills from an early age, having started writing music in sixth grade. Her academic pursuits at Berklee College of Music, where she studied songwriting, provided a foundation for her career, though she ultimately left to dedicate herself to music full-time in her junior year. McAlpine’s early artistic endeavors included her debut EP, “Indigo,” released in 2018.

This album featured the TikTok-viral single “Ceilings,” which peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 with over 230 million streams and earned Platinum certification from the RIAA.
