Lovelytheband, an alternative trio, was formed in 2016 in Los Angeles. The band has developed a musical style that integrates indie-pop and rock, characterized by relatable lyrical content. Their work has garnered wide recognition, leading to a significant listenership. The lead vocalist, Mitchy Collins, had prior success as a songwriter, contributing to songs such as Hilary Duff’s “Picture This” in 2015 and 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Ghost of You” in 2018, demonstrating his established experience in the music industry.
The band’s single “Broken” achieved double-Platinum status and reached the top position on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart. This track also marked their first entry into the Hot 100 in 2018. Lovelytheband maintained a presence on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart for 100 weeks, peaking at No. 1 in 2018. Their 2018 album, “Finding it Hard to Smile,” reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.
