Momma is an American indie rock band that has made significant strides in the music industry since their formation in 2015. Founded by Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten, who have been friends since their school days, along with drummer Zach Capitti Fenton, the band quickly garnered attention for their unique sound. Their journey took a pivotal turn when they signed with Polyvinyl Records after receiving an unexpected email from the label, marking the beginning of a fruitful partnership.

The band’s debut album, “Interloper,” released in 2018 through Danger Collective Records, showcased their innovative approach to indie rock and set the stage for their future endeavors. Following this, Momma announced their second album, “Two Of Me,” in February 2020, featuring standout tracks like “Double Dare” and “Biohazard.” This album, recorded during their college years, was celebrated for its concept centered around small-town life in an alternate reality, further establishing their artistic identity.

In July 2022, Momma released their third studio album, “Household Name,” via Polyvinyl and Lucky Number, which received critical acclaim and solidified their reputation in the indie rock scene. The album’s success was a testament to their growth as musicians and their ability to resonate with audiences through relatable themes and catchy melodies.
