About

MT Jones is an English singer from Liverpool whose 2025 has marked a clear step up in his career. On 3 May 2025, he performed at Liverpool Sound City, the city’s long-running festival and a homecoming stage for the Merseyside artist. In November 2025, his rising profile earned him a slot on Jo Whiley’s “Sofa Session”, a coveted BBC Radio session platform known for introducing striking voices to a national audience.

Rooted in soul, R&B, and jazz, Jones built his craft within Liverpool’s musical culture, a city with one of the deepest popular music traditions in the world. His style draws on classic vocal warmth and contemporary rhythm, positioning him within the new wave of British soul singers gaining radio attention in the mid-2020s.

Looking ahead, Jones is set to release “Joy” in 2026, a single produced, written, and mixed with Jonathan Quarmby, the veteran producer whose credits include work with Sam Ryder, GreenTea Peng, and Cian Ducroft’s UK chart-topping “Victory” deluxe edition. With national session exposure, festival credentials, and new material on the horizon, MT Jones is a Liverpool voice building momentum on his own terms.
