Jean-Désiré Dimitri Sosso Dzabatou, known professionally as Naza, was born on May 26, 1993, in Amiens, France. His early life was spent in Creil, where his family managed a Congolese-style bar-restaurant. This environment exposed him to various cultural influences which would later shape his musical style. He embarked on his musical journey alongside childhood friend Cédric Matéta Nkomi, who would become known as KeBlack. Their early connection proved instrumental in Naza’s career progression.
Naza’s career began to solidify in 2014 when he was featured in several releases with KeBlack, who was gaining online traction and had collaborated with Youssoupha. This led to Naza signing with Youssoupha’s label, Bomayé Musik. His debut solo hit, “Gater le coin,” was released in 2016, followed by other successful singles like “La débauche” and “A gogo” in 2017. A turning point arrived with his soccer-themed track “MMM (Mouiller le maillot et mailler),” which gained widespread popularity, notably featuring Brazilian superstar Neymar and Ivory Coast player Serge Aurier. Naza also contributed to KeBlack’s 2016 hit “Bazardée” as a co-writer, a song that reached number seven on the French Singles Chart.
His debut album, “Incroyable,” released in 2017, achieved gold certification, marking a significant milestone in his career. This was followed by another album, “C’est la loi,” in 2018, also released under Bomayé Musik. Since then, Naza has continued to release music, including “Bénef” (2019), “Gros bébé” (2020) which also achieved gold certification, and “Nazaland” (2024), demonstrating consistent artistic output and commercial success.
