Natalie Anderson

Natalie Anderson was born on October 24, 1981, in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Her career in entertainment began with an appearance on the first series of the reality singing competition “Pop Idol” in 2001, where she reached the top 40. From 2005 to 2008, she gained recognition for her role as Nurse Stella Davenport in the ITV medical drama “The Royal.” Following this, in 2009, she transitioned to the stage, taking on the role of Nessarose in the London production of “Wicked” at the Apollo Theatre, performing until March 2010.

Anderson further established her acting career with her role as Alicia Gallagher (later Metcalfe) in the ITV soap opera “Emmerdale,” a role she held from 2010 to 2015, appearing in 574 episodes. During her time on “Emmerdale,” she also participated in celebrity television shows, including “All Star Family Fortunes” in 2014 and “The Chase” in 2014. After her departure from “Emmerdale,” she became a recurring presenter on ITV’s “Loose Women” and “This Morning” starting in 2015. In 2016, she launched her lifestyle brand, The Capsule, which focuses on fashion, beauty, and wellbeing, and subsequently started an accompanying podcast, “The Capsule in Conversation,” in 2019.

More recently, Anderson has continued her acting work with significant roles. She played Lexi Calder in the Channel 4 soap opera “Hollyoaks” from 2021 to 2022, appearing in 33 episodes. In 2022, she was seen as Maryanne Borden in the Liam Neeson action film “Memory.” Her 2023 acting credits include guest roles in the BBC series “Happy Valley” and “Boiling Point,” as well as a stage appearance at Hull Truck Theatre in Anna Jordan’s play “Pop Music.” In 2024, she played Claire Walker in the Netflix adaptation of Harlan Coben’s thriller “Fool Me Once” and is set to appear as Danielle Silverton in “Coronation Street” in 2025.
