Nathan Davis Jr

Nathan Davis Jr. was born on January 18 in Long Beach, California, USA. He later moved to Memphis, Tennessee, with his mother, Sofea Watkins. From an early age, Davis displayed an interest in performance, singing before he could speak at 10 months old. As a child, he was known for entertaining family at gatherings. His formal performing career began at age 11 with his debut acting role as Mr. Warbucks in a production of “Annie Jr.” During his teenage years, he emulated Michael Jackson and also trained as a classical vocalist, earning three All-West Tennessee Honors Awards under Dr. Billy Rayburn. He gained experience in musical theater productions, taking on supporting roles.

In September 2012, Davis and his mother relocated to California for him to pursue acting professionally. Shortly after arriving in Los Angeles, he secured roles on television shows such as “Criminal Minds,” “The Soul Man,” and “Glee.” In the same year, he participated in a national campaign singing alongside Justin Timberlake, which helped launch his career in commercials, voiceover work, and television. In 2013, he won first prize at the Taste of Soul LA StarQuest, performing for an audience of over 300,000 people. Following this, he was cast as Diego in “Chase Champion,” a Nickelodeon series where he became a series regular. His acting range spans both dramatic and comedic roles.

Davis continued to expand his acting portfolio, appearing in significant film and television projects. In 2017, he made his silver screen debut as Aubrey Pollard in Kathryn Bigelow’s “Detroit.” The same year, he played Ricardo in “Hotel Artemis.” He also featured in TV One’s Christmas movies “Miss Me This Christmas” and “You Can’t Fight Christmas,” and guest-starred as Andre in Hulu’s “Marvel Runaways.” His career progression showcases a transition from early stage performances and television guest appearances to more prominent roles in feature films and streaming series. He founded Double Impact Music Group, an independent label focusing on inspirational music.
