NCT Dream has established itself as a globally recognized K-pop group, evolving from a teenage unit to a fixed seven-member ensemble under SM Entertainment. After their highly anticipated debut on August 25, 2016, with the single ‘Chewing Gum,’ NCT DREAM rapidly established themselves as a globally recognized K-pop group. The septet, formed under SM Entertainment, quickly achieved their first major milestone in February 2017 with their debut single album ‘The First,’ which reached number one on the Gaon Album Chart. The title track, ‘My First and Last,’ earned them their inaugural music show win on ‘The Show.’ In the same year, NCT DREAM was appointed official ambassadors for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, for which they released the official tournament song, ‘Trigger the Fever.’ The group continued its impressive trajectory with the release of EPs ‘We Young’ in 2017 and ‘We Go Up’ in 2018.
Their international expansion continued with a successful Japanese debut in 2023, where their single ‘Best Friend Ever’ topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Later in 2023, the group released their third studio album, ‘ISTJ.’ Looking ahead, NCT DREAM is slated to release their fourth studio album, ‘Dreamscape,’ in 2024, followed by their fifth studio album, ‘Go Back To The Future,’ in 2025, further solidifying their position as global leaders in K-pop.
