OH MY GIRL was formed by WM Entertainment and debuted on April 20, 2015, with their eponymous extended play, which included the lead single “Cupid.” The group initially comprised eight members. Early in their career, they were publicized as the sister group to label-mate B1A4. Their debut was followed by the release of their second EP, “Closer,” on October 8 of the same year. In March 2016, they released their third EP, “Pink Ocean,” with the title track “Liar Liar” and officially announced their fandom name, “Miracle.” The reissue of “Pink Ocean” titled “Windy Day” was released in May 2016, and an August 2016 special summer single album became their first to top the Gaon weekly charts. The group held their first solo concert, “Summer Fairy Tales,” in August 2016, with tickets selling out in three minutes.
In October 2017, member JinE departed due to health issues, and OH MY GIRL continued as a seven-member group. Their fifth EP, “Secret Garden,” released in January 2018, earned them their first music show trophy. The sub-unit Oh My Girl Banhana, consisting of Hyojung, Yubin, and Arin, released the pop-up album “Banana Allergy Monkey” in April 2018. The group made their Japanese debut in January 2019 with “Oh My Girl Japan Debut Album,” which reached number 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart. Their first Korean studio album, “The Fifth Season,” followed in May 2019. OH MY GIRL participated in the competition show “Queendom” in August 2019, covering Lovelyz’s “Destiny” and placing first in one round. They finished as 1st runner-up in the program. Commercial success continued in 2020 with their seventh EP, “Nonstop,” and its title track “Nonstop” and B-side “Dolphin,” both achieving high chart positions.
The group released their eighth EP, “Dear OhMyGirl,” in May 2021, featuring the chart-topping single “Dun Dun Dance.” In January 2022, Binnie changed her stage name to Yubin. Their second Korean studio album, “Real Love,” was released in March 2022. Jiho departed the group in May 2022, leading to a reorganization into a six-member lineup. In July 2023, they released their ninth EP, “Golden Hourglass,” followed by their tenth EP, “Dreamy Resonance,” in August 2024. In April 2025, they released the digital single “Oh My” to commemorate their tenth anniversary. In May 2025, YooA and Arin’s contracts with WM Entertainment ended, but they will continue group activities, while the remaining members renewed their contracts.
