Quarters Of Change

Quarters of Change is an American rock band formed in New York City in 2017. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Roter, guitarist Jasper Harris, guitarist Ben Acker, and drummer Attila Anrather. Their musical journey began much earlier, when Ben Acker and Jasper Harris played rock music together as ‘Concrete Jungle’ in elementary school. The lineup solidified in eighth grade with the addition of Ben Roter and Attila Anrather. During their high school years at Beacon High School, the members taught themselves recording techniques, releasing a self-titled debut EP that they tracked in the school’s basement and uploaded to Bandcamp.

The band officially formed as Quarters of Change in 2017, dedicating themselves to writing and recording original songs. They are currently signed to 300 Entertainment and Elektra Records, both divisions of Warner Music Group. Their discography includes two studio albums, ‘Into the Rift’ (2022) and ‘Portraits’ (2024), along with extended plays ‘Hey’ (2020) and ‘New Hour’ (2021). The band’s musical style is described as alternative rock, indie rock, and pop rock, incorporating elements of nineties-style alternative hooks, space rock soundscapes, and seventies grooves.

Quarters of Change has achieved significant recognition in the music industry, performing at major festivals such as South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Governor’s Ball, and Shaky Knees Music Festival. They have also supported notable acts like the Jonas Brothers, Bad Suns, Two Door Cinema Club, The Band Camino, and Joywave. The band cites various influences, including The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, MGMT, Tom Petty, and Daft Punk, which contribute to their unique and evolving sound.
