Olly Sholotan is an American actor, musical artist, and music producer known for his portrayal of Carlton Banks in Peacock’s ‘Bel-Air’ and for his independent music releases. After starring as Lewis Washington in the 2020 Venice International Film Festival selection Run Hide Fight, Olly Sholotan established himself as a dynamic talent across film, television, and music. He honed his craft at the Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts, specializing in Theater and graduating in 2015, where he was recognized as a finalist by the National YoungArts Foundation. Furthering his education, Sholotan completed a Musical Theater Major program at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, graduating in 2019.
His exceptional work on Bel-Air garnered critical acclaim, earning him a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor, Drama Series at the prestigious Black Reel Awards in 2022. Expanding his television credits, Sholotan also took on the role of Trevor in an episode of the acclaimed TV series Cruel Summer in 2023. Demonstrating his theatrical range, late 2023 saw Sholotan make his Off-Broadway debut as Young Ibrahim Ferrer in the musical Buena Vista Social Club at the Atlantic Theater Company, a role that further solidified his multi-faceted artistic capabilities.
