Orbit Culture

Swedish melodic death metal band Orbit Culture released their debut EP, ‘Odyssey,’ in the summer of 2013, establishing a powerful sound that quickly garnered local attention and led to their first hometown performances. A remastered version of ‘Odyssey,’ featuring new artwork and instrumental tracks, followed in December 2013. Building on this positive reception, Orbit Culture released their first full-length album, ‘In Medias Res,’ on July 23, 2014, supported by a music video for the track ‘Obscurity’ in October of the same year. Their sophomore full-length album, ‘Rasen,’ was released on March 11, 2016.

The accompanying music video for ‘Sun of All,’ released in August 2016, amassed over a million YouTube views, increasing their visibility within the underground metal community. In 2018, Orbit Culture delivered the ‘Redfog’ EP, featuring singles such as ‘Saw,’ ‘See Through Me,’ and the title track, all achieving over a million listens each across various streaming platforms. The band broadened their international reach in 2019, embarking on their first tour outside Sweden with a notable performance in Berlin. Singles ‘Nensha,’ ‘Rebirth,’ and ‘The Shadowing’ were released between 2019 and 2020, culminating in the critically acclaimed album ‘Nija’ on August 7, 2020.

In 2024, the band also headlined their first-ever EU/UK tour, the ‘Descending Into Madness Tour,’ and opened for Slipknot on their ‘Here Comes the Pain’ tour. Further expanding their global presence, Orbit Culture made first-ever appearances in South America, including a headline show in Mexico City, and joined Bullet for My Valentine and Trivium on ‘The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour.’ Looking ahead to 2025, the band is slated for several major festival appearances, including Graspop Metal Meeting, Download Festival, Tons of Rock, and Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, ahead of the anticipated release of their fifth studio album, ‘Death Above Life,’ in October 2025.
