Nicky Jam

Nicky Jam achieved a significant career milestone in 2015 with his collaboration alongside Enrique Iglesias on ‘El Perdón,’ a track that spent an impressive 30 weeks atop the Hot Latin Songs chart and earned him his first Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Performance. Earlier in his career, he released his debut EP, ‘…Distinto a los demás,’ in 1995, and later formed the successful duo Los Cangris with Daddy Yankee in the late 1990s, achieving prominence in Puerto Rico with singles such as ‘En la Cama.’ Following solo albums like ‘Haciendo escante’ (2001) and ‘Vida escante’ (2004), a pivotal career resurgence began in 2007, leading to a shift in his musical style and a string of successful singles in 2014, including ‘Voy a Beber’ and ‘Travesuras.’ Building on this success, Nicky Jam continued to dominate the charts, with his hit ‘Hasta el Amanecer’ reaching over one billion views on YouTube in 2016. In 2017, he released the acclaimed album ‘Fénix,’ which debuted at the top of the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart, secured 11 platinum certifications, and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. ‘Fénix’ featured the smash hit ‘El Amante’ and collaborations with artists such as Sean Paul and J Balvin.

The following year, in 2021, he released his album ‘Infinity’ and announced a subsequent tour. Looking ahead, Nicky Jam is slated to release two new albums, ‘Insomnio’ in 2024 and ‘Sunshine’ in 2025, further solidifying his enduring impact on the music industry.
