Peach Pit

Peach Pit is a vibrant Canadian indie pop band that has made significant strides in the music industry since their formation in 2016 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The band, consisting of Neil Smith, Christopher Vanderkooy, Peter Wilton, and Mikey Pascuzzi, quickly garnered attention with their debut EP, “Sweet FA,” released in June 2016. Their unique sound, described as “chewed bubblegum pop,” blends elements of sad pop and surf rock, showcasing their soft-spoken vocal style and guitar-driven melodies. This distinctive musical identity has resonated with audiences, leading to a growing fanbase.

In September 2017, Peach Pit released their debut album, “Being So Normal,” through the Vancouver indie label Kingfisher Bluez. The album’s success propelled the band into the spotlight, allowing them to quit their day jobs and embark on their first extensive tour across North America, Europe, and Asia. Their energetic performances at renowned festivals such as SXSW and Osheaga, alongside acts like Mac DeMarco and Dayglow, further solidified their reputation as a must-see live band.

The band’s sophomore album, “You and Your Friends,” released in April 2020, marked a maturation in their sound while retaining their signature charm. Tracks like “Feelin’ Low (F*ckboy Blues)” and “Shampoo Bottles” received significant radio airplay, showcasing their ability to connect with listeners. Their third studio album, “From 2 to 3,” released in March 2022, continued this trajectory of success, leading to performances at major events like Lollapalooza in August 2023.

Peach Pit’s discography has expanded with the release of singles such as “Magpie” and “Did You Love Somebody,” both set to captivate audiences in 2024.
