Phil Collins is a globally recognized musician, singer, songwriter, and actor, celebrated for his extensive career as the drummer and lead singer of Genesis, and a highly successful solo artist. His work has resulted in numerous chart-topping singles and albums, establishing him as one of the best-selling artists worldwide. After joining Genesis as their drummer in 1970, Phil Collins quickly established himself as a formidable musical talent, eventually stepping into the role of lead singer in 1975 following Peter Gabriel’s departure. This period saw him significantly contribute to Genesis’s evolving sound while simultaneously expanding his musical repertoire by drumming for the jazz rock band Brand X.

Throughout his career, Collins has sold over 150 million records worldwide, making him one of the few artists to sell over 100 million records both as a solo artist and as a principal band member. Collins’ continued impact on music was recognized with an Academy Award for Best Original Song for ‘You’ll Be in My Heart’ from Disney’s ‘Tarzan’ in 1999.
