Phillip Phillips

Phillip Phillips is an American singer-songwriter, recognized for his musical accomplishments following his victory on the eleventh season of American Idol. After winning the eleventh season of American Idol in 2012, Phillip Phillips went on to achieve historic success with his coronation song ‘Home.’ The track became the best-selling in the show’s history, selling over 5 million copies in the U.S. and garnering extensive media exposure through NBC’s Olympic coverage and various film trailers. Phillips performed ‘Home’ at high-profile events including the 83rd MLB All-Star Game and on acclaimed programs like The Today Show and Late Show with David Letterman.

Following his debut, Phillips toured extensively, serving as an opening act for Matchbox Twenty and John Mayer in 2013. He also performed at the prestigious Rock in Rio festival in 2013 alongside Bruce Springsteen. His second album, Behind the Light, was released in 2014, featuring singles ‘Raging Fire’ and ‘Unpack Your Heart.’ ‘Raging Fire’ earned Phillips a BMI Pop Music Songwriting Award the same year. In 2016, he returned to the American Idol stage for its series finale, delivering a memorable David Bowie tribute.

Continuing his touring presence, Phillips opened for the Goo Goo Dolls’ Long Way Home tour in 2017. In 2018, Phillips released his third studio album, Collateral, expanding his creative portfolio. The same year, he made his acting debut with an appearance in an episode of the popular television series Hawaii Five-0. Most recently, Phillips released his fourth studio album, Drift Back, in 2023, which produced the charting singles ‘Dancing with Your Shadows’ and ‘Love Like That.’ Further cementing his presence in the music industry, Phillips made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2023.
