Queensryche

Queensrÿche is a prominent American progressive metal band, recognized for their innovative sound and narrative concept albums. After self-releasing their eponymous EP in 1982, Queensrÿche quickly garnered international attention, leading to a significant record deal with EMI Records in 1983. This early success established the band, featuring guitarists Michael Wilton and Chris DeGarmo, drummer Scott Rockenfield, bassist Eddie Jackson, and vocalist Geoff Tate, in the burgeoning progressive metal scene. Their debut EP paved the way for a 15-year contract that encompassed seven albums, including ‘The Warning’ (1984) and ‘Rage for Order’ (1986).

They continued their prolific output with ‘Hear in the Now Frontier’ (1997) and toured extensively, sharing stages with iconic acts like Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Judas Priest, and Def Leppard. The band transitioned to Sanctuary Records in 2001, releasing ‘Q2K’ (1999) and the live album ‘Live Evolution’ (2001). They continued to deliver new material with ‘Tribe’ (2003) and launched the ‘An Evening With Queensrÿche’ tour in 2004. After signing with Rhino Entertainment in 2005, Queensrÿche released ‘Operation: Mindcrime II’ (2006), followed by ‘Take Cover’ (2007) and ‘American Soldier’ (2009).

Their recent output includes ‘The Verdict’ (2019) and ‘Digital Noise Alliance’ (2022). Currently, guitarist Michael Wilton has confirmed the band is actively demoing new material while on the road, with plans to enter the studio in 2025 to record the anticipated follow-up to ‘Digital Noise Alliance’, maintaining their consistent commitment to new music and live performances.
