Robin Zander is an American musician recognized for his influential role as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Cheap Trick, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. After joining the iconic rock band Cheap Trick as lead singer and rhythm guitarist in 1974, Robin Zander quickly established himself as a formidable talent alongside bandmates Rick Nielsen, Tom Petersson, and Bun E. Carlos. The band’s 1979 album, Cheap Trick at Budokan, became a pivotal moment, catapulting them to international stardom.

That same year, the album’s hit single ‘I Want You to Want Me’ reached the Top 10 on the U.S. charts, solidifying their global presence and enduring impact on the music industry. Zander’s powerful tenor voice, lauded as ‘jaw-dropping’ and ‘supremely virtuosic,’ played a crucial role in the band’s continued success. In 1988, Cheap Trick achieved another significant milestone when their single ‘The Flame’ topped the U.S.
