Shanti Dope

Shanti Dope is a Filipino rapper, singer, and songwriter known for hit songs and international collaborations. After establishing his presence in the Filipino hip hop scene with a long verse featured on rapper Smugglaz’s 2015 album, Walking Distance, Shanti Dope launched his professional career in 2017. That same year, the acclaimed rapper, singer, and songwriter released his debut EP, Shanti Dope, quickly followed by the Materyal EP. Materyal spawned the breakthrough hit single ‘Nadarang,’ which soared to number one on Spotify PH’s Top 50 Viral Chart in 2017, solidifying his status as a major force in Pinoy hip hop and trap music.

Shanti Dope’s influence continued to broaden with the release of his acclaimed single ‘Amatz’ in 2019. The track garnered significant international attention when it was notably featured in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021, showcasing his music to a global audience. He maintained a consistent release schedule, delivering the Basic EP in 2022, which included a high-profile collaboration on ‘Kamusta’ with fellow artist Flow G, further cementing his position in the contemporary hip hop landscape. Demonstrating an evolving artistic range, Shanti Dope expanded into acting, joining the cast of the TV series Black Rider for its 2023-2024 run.

In 2023, he continued his musical output with the release of his Guns and Roses EP. Throughout his career, Shanti Dope has been widely recognized by the industry, accumulating twelve awards from forty-eight nominations, underscoring his impact and consistent critical acclaim within the music scene.
