Sorority Noise was an influential American emo band formed in 2013 in Hartford, Connecticut, showcasing a unique blend of melodic indie rock, emo, and pop-punk. The band was spearheaded by vocalist Cameron Boucher, who previously gained recognition with the screamo band Old Gray. Alongside Boucher, the lineup included talented musicians such as drummer Charlie Singer, bassist Ryan McKenna, and guitarist Adam Ackerman. Their debut cassette, “Young Luck,” released in 2013, marked the beginning of their promising journey in the music scene.
In 2014, Sorority Noise released their first full-length album, “Forgettable,” through Dog Knights Productions and Broken World Media, which garnered critical acclaim and established them as a rising force in the emo genre. Their energetic performances, including supporting acts like Modern Baseball and Motion City Soundtrack, further solidified their reputation. The band continued to evolve, releasing their sophomore album, “Joy, Departed,” in 2015, which showcased their introspective lyrics and melodic sound, earning them a spot on Alternative Press’s list of “100 Bands You Need to Know in 2015.”
The band’s third album, “You’re Not As _____ As You Think,” released in 2017, marked a significant milestone in their career, featuring the lead single “No Halo.” This album demonstrated their growth as artists and their ability to connect with audiences on a deeper level. Following the album’s success, they embarked on extensive tours, captivating fans across the U.S. and beyond.
