Lee Ann Womack

Grammy Award-winning country singer and songwriter Lee Ann Womack launched her acclaimed career after signing with Decca Nashville in 1996. Her self-titled debut album, released in May 1997, propelled two singles, ‘The Fool’ and ‘You’ve Got to Talk to Me,’ to number two on the country charts. Her sophomore release, ‘Some Things I Know’ (1998), continued this success with ‘A Little Past Little Rock’ and ‘I’ll Think of a Reason Later’ also peaking at number two. By September 1999, ‘Lee Ann Womack’ achieved platinum certification, and ‘Some Things I Know’ was certified gold by the RIAA.

Womack’s latest acclaimed work, ‘The Lonely, the Lonesome & the Gone,’ was released on ATO Records in 2017. This project secured two Grammy nominations in 2019 for Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Song (‘All the Trouble’). Her enduring influence on country music was recognized in 2018 with the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award.
