The world-renowned girl group and dance ensemble The Pussycat Dolls first achieved international recognition with their multi-platinum album PCD and extremely successful music franchise. Having sold over 54 million records worldwide they considered one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
Made up of band members Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt the group originally came together in 1995 as a burlesque troupe. After signing to Interscope Geffen A&M Records in 2003 the group turned their efforts towards mainstream pop music and in 2005 released their No.1 singles Don’t Cha, Stickwitu and Buttons as part of their chart-topping debut album PCD. Following their growing success, the group went on to release their second album Doll Domination in 2008 featuring yet another host of hit singles including When I Grow Up. This later led to a sell-out world tour for the group in 2009.
Alongside the group’s success, The Pussycat Dolls have gone to work on other projects including their reality TV show Pussycat Dolls Present. In 2019 former members Scherzinger, Bachar, Roberts, Sutta and Wyatt announced their reunion as part of their Greatest Hits tour in 2020. As part of the reunion launch, the group performed on the immensely popular UK TV show The X Factor: Celebrity finale. Having received an impressive total of 20 awards including a TMF Award for best album in 2006, in 2012 VH1 ranked the group as the No.10 all-girl group.
