Formed in 2003, the band quickly gained attention with their debut album, “Bang Bang Rock & Roll,” released in May 2005. Following their initial success, Art Brut signed with Mute Records in 2006, releasing their second album, “It’s a Bit Complicated,” in June 2007. The album featured the hit single “Nag Nag Nag Nag,” which was celebrated as Single of the Week by The Guardian. Their extensive touring in the United States during this period, including appearances on popular shows like “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, further expanded their fan base and showcased their engaging live performances.
In 2009, Art Brut released their third album, “Art Brut vs. Satan,” produced by Frank Black, which received positive reviews and included popular singles like “Alcoholics Unanimous.” The band continued to evolve, releasing their fourth album, “Brilliant! Tragic!” in 2011, and celebrating their 10th anniversary with a compilation album in 2013.
