Unto Others

Unto Others originated in the summer of 2017 following the conclusion of Gabriel Franco’s previous musical endeavor. Initially operating under the name Idle Hands, Franco sought full creative authority over the songwriting process. The band’s lineup was solidified with the integration of Sebastian Silva, Brandon Hill, and Colin Vranizan. This configuration quickly garnered recognition within the underground music community for its fusion of traditional Heavy Metal, Gothic Rock, New Wave, and Post-Punk elements. Their debut EP, “Don’t Waste Your Time,” received positive reception, which led to a European tour and acknowledgment from metal publications.

The band continued its progression by recording their first full-length album, “Mana,” in 2019, with production credits shared by Gabe Johnston and Franco. The album’s release marked a significant achievement, accompanied by favorable reviews and substantial streaming figures. Despite encountering logistical challenges, including visa complications and the global pandemic, Unto Others maintained their trajectory. They subsequently signed with Roadrunner Records and released their second album, “Strength,” in 2021. This album also achieved critical acclaim, prompting extensive tours across the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. During these tours, they provided support for established bands such as Behemoth, Arch Enemy, Carcass, and Napalm Death, contributing to their growing international fanbase. In 2023, building on the foundation of “Strength,” Unto Others released “Strength II …Deep Cuts,” which featured six additional tracks from the original recording sessions, again produced by Arthur Rizk.

In 2024, Unto Others began a new chapter with Century Media for their third album, “Never, Neverland,” released on September 20th. Produced by Tom Dalgety, this album further established the band’s position in the music scene. “Never, Neverland” showcased a development in their sound, incorporating brighter elements while retaining their gothic and classic metal roots. Lead singles such as “Butterfly,” “Raigeki 雷撃,” “Angel Of The Night,” and “Suicide Today” demonstrated a blend of melancholic melodies and punk energy. The band remains focused on extensive touring in Europe, the United States, and other regions, aiming to connect with audiences and reinforce their unique sound within the heavy metal genre’s evolving landscape.
