Vacationer, an American electro-dream pop band, has consistently produced music that blends genres, leading to multiple charting albums and collaborations across different industries. After forming in 2010 as an American electro-dream pop and psychedelic pop band, Vacationer self-released their lead song ‘Trip’ in April 2011, garnering significant industry interest. This early success led to the band signing with Downtown Records in 2011. Their debut LP, Gone, released in 2012, quickly made an impact, reaching number 42 on the Top Heatseekers chart in the U.S., establishing their unique genre-blending sound.
Following the success of their debut, Vacationer embarked on extensive touring throughout 2012 and early 2013, performing alongside notable artists such as Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tennis, The Naked and Famous, Body Language, and Niki and the Dove. The band continued its sonic evolution, releasing their second studio album, Relief, in June 2014. This album built on their momentum, charting even higher at number 10 on the Top Heatseekers chart, demonstrating consistent growth and audience appeal. Vacationer’s third studio album, Mindset, was released through Downtown Records in June 2018, further showcasing their distinctive soundscapes.
Expanding their artistic range and versatility, they released the instrumental album Wavelengths in September 2019 on Paxico Records, demonstrating an experimental approach to their music. Beyond traditional releases, Vacationer has also engaged in unique cross-industry collaborations, including a notable partnership for a signature cannabis strain. Most recently, Vacationer released their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Cherish, in October 2023 via Paxico Records. The album, which features the single ‘Dialogue,’ solidifies their continued presence and innovation within the electro-dream pop landscape.
With a consistent track record of charting albums, extensive touring, and diverse collaborations, Vacationer continues to explore new creative avenues while maintaining their distinctive sonic identity and captivating a global audience.
