Vacationer is an innovative electropop and dream pop band hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed by lead singer and bassist Kenny Vasoli, along with drummer Ryan Zimmaro, keyboardist Michael Mullin, and guitarist Greg Altman, the band has carved a unique niche in the music industry. Their journey began when Vasoli, inspired by the sounds of LCD Soundsystem at the 2010 Bonnaroo Festival, sought to create music that was less aggressive and more melodic. This vision led to the formation of Vacationer, where Vasoli’s songwriting prowess shines through.
In 2011, the band released their debut single “Trip,” which garnered significant attention and ultimately led to a record deal with Downtown Records. Their first LP, “Gone,” was released in 2012 and reached number 42 on the U.S. Top Heatseekers chart, showcasing their ability to resonate with audiences. The band toured extensively, sharing stages with notable acts such as Bombay Bicycle Club and The Naked and Famous, further solidifying their presence in the music scene.
Vacationer continued to build on their success with the release of their second studio album, “Relief,” in 2014, which peaked at number 10 on the Top Heatseekers chart. Their third album, “Mindset,” released in 2018, further demonstrated their evolution as artists, featuring singles like “Magnetism” and “Being Here” that highlighted their signature sound.
Most recently, on October 20, 2023, Vacationer released their fifth studio album, “Cherish,” through Paxico Records, accompanied by the single “Dialogue.” This latest project reflects their ongoing commitment to creating captivating music that resonates with fans, showcasing their growth and artistic vision. With a rich discography and a dedication to their craft, Vacationer continues to be a prominent force in the electropop genre.
