Veruca Salt

Veruca Salt achieved significant early success with their 1994 debut single ‘Seether’ on Minty Fresh Records, a hit that propelled them to tour with Hole. Their follow-up album, ‘American Thighs,’ released the same year, earned Gold certification, solidifying the band’s place in the alternative rock scene. The band, with its original lineup of vocalist-guitarists Nina Gordon and Louise Post, drummer Jim Shapiro, and bassist Steve Lack, further built on this momentum, releasing the EP ‘Blow It Out Your Ass It’s Veruca Salt’ in 1996. Signing with Geffen Records, Veruca Salt continued their trajectory with the 1997 album ‘Eight Arms to Hold You,’ produced by Bob Rock.

This rekindled collaboration led to the 2014 release of the ‘MMXIV’ EP, which featured new material alongside a re-release of their seminal track ‘Seether.’ The reunited lineup then delivered their critically acclaimed fifth studio album, ‘Ghost Notes,’ in 2015. Demonstrating their continued relevance and commitment beyond music, Veruca Salt partnered with Rock the Vote for the 2018 American election. In 2023, Louise Post, a foundational member of Veruca Salt, released her critically acclaimed solo album, ‘Sleepwalker,’ further showcasing the band’s enduring artistic impact and versatility. Veruca Salt continues to actively tour and engage with their dedicated fanbase, maintaining their influential sound and established legacy within the alternative rock genre, demonstrating their consistent draw for audiences globally.
