Brian “Head” Welch is a guitarist and founding member of the GRAMMY Award-winning nu-metal band Korn, who has also developed a solo career and established himself as an advocate for mental health and Christian living. After co-founding the GRAMMY Award-winning nu-metal band Korn in 1993, Brian ‘Head’ Welch established a distinctive guitar sound that propelled the group to international acclaim. Korn released a string of commercially successful albums, including their self-titled debut in 1994, ‘Life Is Peachy’ (1996), and the chart-topping ‘Follow The Leader’ (1998). The band continued its prolific output with ‘Issues’ (1999), ‘Untouchables’ (2002), and ‘Take A Look in the Mirror’ (2003), solidifying their status as a top-selling nu-metal act that achieved significant global sales and performed in arenas worldwide.
His commitment extends to charitable initiatives, including his ‘Head Homes’ project for building orphanages and participation with outreach organizations such as The Whosoevers. In 2018, the documentary ‘Loud Krazy Love’ chronicled his personal journey. In 2023, Welch collaborated with metal worship project HolyName, contributing to their live recording ‘Initiation: Live in Chicago.’ Demonstrating his ongoing commitment to artist development, he unveiled a new record label in 2024, formed with his manager David Williams, and signed Christian rock band Spoken as its inaugural act. Welch continues to record, tour, and engage audiences globally, maintaining his impactful presence across music and advocacy.
