Wet Leg, an award-winning indie rock band from the Isle of Wight, has achieved global recognition for their distinctive sound and witty lyrics, securing top chart positions and prestigious awards. After their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, released on April 8, 2022, through Domino Recording Company, debuted at number one on both the UK Albums Chart and Australia’s ARIA Albums Chart, Wet Leg quickly established themselves as a globally recognized indie rock force. Formed in 2019 by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, the band first garnered significant attention with their debut single, ‘Chaise Longue,’ released on June 15, 2021, which accumulated millions of streams and video views. This breakthrough was swiftly followed by their second successful single, ‘Wet Dream,’ released on September 28, 2021, further cementing their distinctive sound.
Their global reach was further amplified by supporting Harry Styles on his ‘Love On Tour,’ and a notable performance at Coachella in 2023. Demonstrating their versatility, in 2023 the band remixed Depeche Mode’s track ‘Wagging Tongue,’ a collaboration that earned them a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in 2024. In 2025, Wet Leg formally expanded their core lineup to a five-piece, integrating long-term touring musicians Henry Holmes (drums), Josh Mobaraki (guitar, keyboards), and Ellis Durand (bass). This expanded formation released their highly anticipated second studio album, ‘Moisturizer,’ on July 11, 2025.
The album continued their chart-topping success, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart, underscoring Wet Leg’s consistent trajectory of artistic development and widespread industry recognition.
