Young Thug

Young Thug is an influential rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his eccentric vocal style and impact on contemporary hip-hop and trap music. After securing a signing with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records in 2013, Young Thug released his critically acclaimed debut mixtape, 1017 Thug, that same year. This followed an initial period of prolific output, which included a guest appearance on TruRoyal’s ‘She Can Go’ in 2010 and the I Came from Nothing mixtape series between 2011 and 2012. 1017 Thug quickly garnered positive reviews for its originality, laying the groundwork for his unique sound and impact on contemporary hip-hop and trap music.

He continued this momentum in 2020 with the single ‘Go Crazy,’ which became his highest-charting as a lead artist, and his second number-one single, ‘Franchise,’ featured on Travis Scott’s track. The Young Stoner Life (YSL) compilation album Slime Language 2 also debuted atop the Billboard 200 in 2021, followed by his second studio album, Punk, released later that year. In 2023, Young Thug released his third studio album, Business Is Business, which included collaborations with Drake, Future, and Travis Scott. He was released in October 2024 after accepting a plea deal.

His highly anticipated fourth studio album, UY Scuti, is scheduled for release in 2025.
