Zild Benitez is a Filipino musician, producer, and singer-songwriter known for his work as the lead vocalist, pianist, keyboardist, and bassist of the funk rock band IV of Spades, and for his subsequent solo career which blends introspective sounds with bedroom pop and synth-driven grooves. After joining the band IV of Spades in June 2014 as bassist and keyboardist, Zild Benitez quickly rose to prominence in the Filipino music scene. The band secured a signing with Warner Music Philippines and released their debut single ‘Ilaw sa Daan.’ In 2018, IV of Spades received the New Artist of the Year and MYX Bandarito Performance of the Year awards at the Myx Music Awards, also earning the Favorite New Group award at the 30th Awit Awards.
