Adande Thorne, better known by his YouTube name Swoozie, is one of the most famous YouTubers and internet stars of his generation.
Born in Trinidad, Thorne moved to the USA with his family when he was still a child. He first shot to fame when he began to play fighting game Dead or Alive 4 online and gained a dedicated following. He became so skilled at the video game that he was selected to compete in the Championship Gaming Series hosted by DirecTV. Over the next few years he continued to play extensively for the channel, as well as becoming a commentator on numerous events and appearing in WCG Ultimate Gamer. By now, Thorne had built up a reputation as a big personality, and was winning fans over across the world. He started to upload videos to YouTube which showed details about his work with the Championship Gaming Series, before launching the hugely popular Press Start channel which ran for nearly 10 years. Swoozie is now one of the most in demand social media creators on the scene, and in 2015 signed with the Creative Artists Agency. His biggest feature to date came in 2016 when he received the great honour of being asked to interview President Barack Obama for a YouTube livestream.
Thorne’s YouTube channel now has more than 1.3 billion views, making him one of the most watched content creators on the internet. This talented and hugely experienced internet star is now an inspiration to many others, and continues to make viral content.
