The incredibly talented Daniel Anthony “Danny” Noriega, better known by his stage name Adore Delano, is a drag musician. Delano first appeared as a contestant on the seventh season of American Idol in 2008 as Danny Noriega, whereas Adore Delano competed in the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race making it into the final three. In 2019 New York magazine placed her sixth on their list of “the most powerful drag queens in America”. Adore has released four studio albums: her debut Till Death Do Us Party in 2014, After Party in 2016, Whatever in 2017, and Dirty Laundry in 2021.
Born and raised in Azusa, California, Noriega came out as gay at 12 years old. He was always interested in performing, and by the time he was 19 he had appeared on the seventh season of the hit reality TV talent show, American Idol. He became known for his flamboyant personality and sassy rapport with the judges, and made it to the semi-finals. Following the show, he quickly became a YouTube personality, and began performing skits in drag as Adore Delano, or Angel Baby. In 2010 he entered and won a drag competition at Micky’s nightclub in West Hollywood. Then in 2013 Adore Delano was announced as one of 14 drag queens who would be competing on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She finished as joint runner-up. Immediately after the show, she released DTF, the lead single from her debut album, Till Death Us Do Party. In 2014 she won Drag Queen of the Year, and has since gone on to forge a hugely successful musical and touring career. In 2019 she joined the cast of the fourth season of the reality TV series Ex on the Beach, appearing as both Danny and Adore.
Adore Delano regularly connects with her millions of followers and fans through TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about her life around music and performing.
