Hailing from Atlanta, VanMichaels began watching the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race when a friend told her about the show whilst sat on the school bus. She began her own drag journey using the name Malayshia Ray Payne, before becoming Angeria Paris VanMichaels inspired by a girl from college called Angera. The stunning queen got her big break when she joined the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14, and viewers quickly fell in love with her country charm and strong ability to serve fierce fashion and face. The first queen to win two challenges on the season, VanMichaels made it to the finale narrowly missing out on the crown.
