United States Alan Bersten is a professional Latin and ballroom dancer known for his dynamic performances and choreography on "Dancing with the Stars," where he achieved a championship title and has consistently appeared as a professional partner and mentor.
The brand partnered with professional dancer and “Dancing with the Stars” choreographer Alan Bersten to launch its new dog dancing campaign and promote its latest microwavable dog food.
Alan Bersten was born on May 26, 1994, in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and began his dancing journey at the age of seven. His early career saw him gain national recognition as a contestant on the tenth season of “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2013. Following this, he joined “Dancing with the Stars” as a troupe member in season 20, a role he maintained for several seasons, showcasing his versatility and skill. During his time as a troupe member, Bersten also stepped in as an emergency partner, notably dancing a salsa with Paige VanZant in season 22 after her partner suffered an injury, and with Heather Morris for four weeks in season 24.
Bersten was promoted to a professional partner in “Dancing with the Stars” in season 25 (2017), where he was paired with singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson. He continued to participate in subsequent seasons, partnering with various celebrities including Olympic figure skater Mirai Nagasu (season 26), model Alexis Ren (season 27), and later achieving his first championship in season 28 (2019) with Hannah Brown. His success extended to “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” in 2018, where he mentored Sky Brown and JT Church to victory, earning the Juniors Mirrorball trophy. He has consistently demonstrated strong competitive results, reaching the finals multiple times.
