About

Alec Ingold, a professional football fullback for the Miami Dolphins, has carved a unique path in the NFL. Growing up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he initially committed to Northern Illinois as a quarterback but later found his calling at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His high school accolades included being named the Associated Press Wisconsin Player of the Year, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities as a quarterback. Ingold’s college career saw him transition from linebacker to running back, ultimately excelling as a fullback, where he became known for his impressive touchdown-to-carry ratio.

Ingold’s journey to the NFL began as an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders in 2019. He made an immediate impact, scoring his first touchdown in a thrilling game against the Los Angeles Chargers and later catching the first touchdown in Allegiant Stadium history. His dedication to the sport earned him recognition as the Raiders’ nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, highlighting his commitment to community service and advocacy for adoption awareness, a cause close to his heart due to his own adoption.

Despite facing challenges, including a torn ACL that sidelined him for the 2021 season, Ingold’s resilience shone through. He signed a two-year contract with the Dolphins in 2022, further solidifying his place in the league. His work ethic and determination are evident not only on the field but also in his academic pursuits, as he secured an internship at Oracle Corporation before his rookie season, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth.

Ingold’s impact extends beyond football; he inspires many through his advocacy and personal story. His journey reflects the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and the power of giving back, making him a role model for aspiring athletes and a beloved figure in the community. As he continues to excel with the Dolphins, his legacy as a dedicated player and advocate for adoption will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the sport and beyond.
